Good catch in the Barents Sea

Haraldur Grétarsson Manager of Deutsche Fischfang Union GmbH in Germany, says that fishing has been good in the Barents Sea in the past month.  The ships have been landing or about to be landing good catch.

 

Baldvin NC100 sailed 14th and is expected to Cuxhaven, Germany next Thursday with 480 tons of frozen products.
Kiel NC sailed January 14th and is expected to Akureyri at the end of next week with almost 700 tons af frozen products and around 200 tons of fishmeal. 
Norma Mary A110 from Onward Fishing Company in Scotland sailed January 22nd.  She is also expected to land in Akureyri towards the end of next week almost 400 tons of frozen products.
Björgvin EA 311 from Dalvik was fishing in the Barents Sea for a month before landing about 270 tons in Sortland, Norway, last weekend.
Akraberg FD, from Framherji aps. in The Faroe Islands, sailed January 16th and is on it´s way to The Faeroes with 450 tons of frozen products, caught in Norwegian and Russian jurisdiction.
The ships are in all landing about 2.500 tons of products valued about 9,7 million EUR.

We are also pleased to mention that Högaberg, from the Faroe Islands, landed 2.150 tons of Capelin, caught by the coast of Iceland in it´s first fishing trip for the new owners and is landing today in Vadsö Norway, 1.850 tons of Capelin caught by the coast of Norway.
