Kristina EA 410 arrives in the hometown Akureyri

Kristina EA 410, the largest ship of the Icelandic fishing fleet arrived in Akureyri this morning having left Las Palmas a week ago. The ship will, in the next days,  be heading for Herring and Mackerel fishing in Icelandic waters.

Kristina (previously Engey RE) came in to the ownership of Samherji in the year 2007 and has been on hire since then, fishing off the shores of Africa.

 

The Captain of Kristina EA is Arngrímur Brynjólfsson and his crew counts 35. The ship is equipped with powerful and highly technical processing and freezing machinery and the catch will all be processed on board.
